A homeowner at 720 Bedok Reservoir Road sought help with a leaking Rheem 65VP6S. The unit was worn and lacked PUB-required safety components. We replaced it with a compact Rheem RCY-15 (15L), ensuring full compliance and issuing a PUB Certificate under licensed plumber supervision.

Before Replacement:
The existing Rheem 65SVP10S heater had served its lifespan but was no longer safely installed. Key safety fittings were missing, including the PUB-approved check valve and anti-vacuum valve. The drainpipe was not properly routed to the nearest floor trap. No previous PUB Certificate was available for the original installation, indicating it did not go through the required regulatory documentation process.
After Replacement:
We replaced the vertical Rheem 65SVP10S with a more space-efficient Rheem RCY-15 square tank. Our PUB Licensed Plumber installed all necessary safety components, including a compliant check valve, anti-vacuum valve, and a correctly routed drainpipe to the nearest floor trap. The entire job was documented and certified, with a PUB Certificate issued to ensure compliance and traceability for the homeowner.

Our PUB Licensed Plumber has endorsed that the work is done in accordance with the conditions stated below:
- All water service installations must be in accordance with the Public Utilities (Water Supply) Regulations, Singapore Standards 636 for Water Services, and all other relevant statutory requirements.
- The proposed works shall not adversely affect the existing water supply reticulation system.
- The proposed water storage heater is installed in accordance with the specifications and requirements of the manufacturer.
- The installation of double-check valves is safe and effective in preventing backflow and the back-siphonage of water from the storage water heater through the heater inlet pipe, and will be safe for use.
