Date Of Replacement: 24 May 2025
Project Location: Bidadari Park Drive

Before Replacement:

Hot Water Yellow (Rheem, condo) .01

The old water heater showed signs of severe internal rust, and the hot water output was discoloured. There was no double check valve, drain pipe, or earth bonding, posing a hygiene and electrical hazard.

After Replacement:

Hot Water Yellow (Rheem, condo) .02

We replaced the faulty heater with a new Ariston AN2 15 RS unit. New safety fittings were installed to ensure clean water delivery and safe electrical performance.

Inspection Findings

  • Corrosion on internal tank walls
  • Rusty, discoloured hot water at the outlet

  • No electrical bonding
  • Drain water is discharging improperly due to a lack of a PRV drainpipe

New Components Replacement

  • Drain Pipe – Safely channels overflow water
  • 2.5mm² Cable – Provides essential electrical bonding and supplies a new power supply cable for the heater.
  • Earth Bonding – Ensures electrical safety
  • Gate Valve – Allows shut-off for maintenance

Replacement work scope:

  • Removal of the old, rusted heater
  • Supply and installation of Ariston AN2 15 RS
  • Double Check Valve: Prevents backflow contamination
  • Drain Pipe: Ensures safe discharge from PRV
  • 2.5mm Cable & Earth Bonding: Protects users from electric shock risks
