The Aging Cera Water Heater CRS-60L was replaced. We Installed a new Joven JSH35, ensuring a safe and reliable hot water heater system. The replacement of the Cera Water Heater was completed with all necessary safety upgrades, and a PUB Certificate was issued for full compliance.

Before Replacement:

The old Cera CRS-60L was no longer functional, with intermittent heating and visible rust at the tank base. To ensure consistent performance and compliance with current PUB standards, the homeowner decided to upgrade to a Joven JSH 35 model.
After Replacement:

A new Joven JSH 35 electric storage water heater was installed in the same position, following PUB submission requirements.
All necessary safety components were added, including:
- PUB-approved double check valve on cold inlet
- Anti-vacuum valve on hot outlet
- Stainless steel pipework (≤1m) for inlet/outlet connections
- Stop cock for isolation and maintenance
- Electrical bonding to the nearest metal pipe for safety
The installation was completed according to the manufacturer’s specifications and Singapore Standard SS 636:2024 for water services. A valid PUB Certificate of Compliance was issued upon completion.

- All water service installations must be in accordance with the Public Utilities (Water Supply) Regulations, Singapore Standards 636 for Water Services, and all other relevant statutory requirements.
- The proposed works shall not adversely affect the existing water supply reticulation system.
- The proposed water storage heater is installed in accordance with the specifications and requirements of the manufacturer.
- The installation of double-check valves is safe and effective in preventing backflow and the back-siphonage of water from the storage water heater through the heater inlet pipe, and will be safe for use.
