At 635 Woodlands Ring Road HDB, a homeowner experienced Ariston Water Leaking issues with their ageing Andris Lux 30. Homeone replaced it with a new Ariston PRO RS J 25, ensuring full compliance with PUB regulations.

Before Replacement:

The installed Ariston Andris Lux 30 was leaking and beyond repair. Critical safety components were missing, including the approved check valve, drain pipe, and electrical bonding. The setup violated multiple PUB and Singapore Standards.
After Replacement:

Homeone replaced the heater with a new Ariston PRO RS J 25. All necessary safety upgrades were made, including new fittings, stainless steel drain piping, a double check valve, and electrical bonding, now fully compliant with PUB and national standards.
Inspection Findings 
- Missing Protective Equipotential Bonding: Increased electrocution risk. (Violation of SS CP5:1998 Clause 413-02)
- Missing Double Check Valve: Risk of backflow contamination. Violation of SS636)
- Missing Drain Pipe: Backflow hazard during pressure relief. Violation of SS636)
New Components Replacement
- Ariston PRO RS J 25 water heater
- New double check valve (SS636-compliant)
- New stop valve and fittings
- Stainless steel drain pipe
- Electrical connector box and the electrical bonding
Replacement work scope:
- Site inspection and PUB compliance assessment
- Safe removal of the existing Ariston Andris Lux 30 heater
- Supply and install Ariston PRO RS J 25
- Install stainless steel hot, and cold piping (within 1m)
- Proper routing of the drain to the floor trap
- Provision of electrical bonding
- System testing and commissioning
- PUB compliance submission upon completion


Our PUB Licensed Plumber has endorsed that the work is done in accordance with the conditions stated below:
- All water service installations must be in accordance with the Public Utilities (Water Supply) Regulations, Singapore Standards 636 for Water Services, and all other relevant statutory requirements.
- The proposed works shall not adversely affect the existing water supply reticulation system.
- The proposed water storage heater is installed in accordance with the specifications and requirements of the manufacturer.
- The installation of double-check valves is safe and effective in preventing backflow and the back-siphonage of water from the storage water heater through the heater inlet pipe, and will be safe for use.
Conclusion:
This replacement project was executed by a Homeone technician under the supervision of a licensed PUB plumber. All work adhered strictly to Singapore Standards SS CP5 and SS636. Upon completion, a PUB submission was made to ensure regulatory compliance and safety assurance for the homeowner.
