Ariston Water Heater Not Working: DS 30 SHE Replacement at The Gale
A homeowner at The Gale faced an “Ariston Water Heater Not Working” issue. Homeone replaced the faulty unit with a compliant Ariston PRO RS 30 SHE system.

Before Replacement:

The existing Ariston DS 30 SHE heater was no longer working, with an internal tank leak and signs of ageing. The system was out of its lifespan and had worn pipe fittings, making a repair impossible and replacement the only safe option.
After Replacement:

A new Ariston PRO RS 30 SHE was installed with upgraded stainless steel fittings. The setup is now safe, leak-free, and compliant with PUB regulations. Hot water is fully restored, and installation is complete with the drainpipe and bonding in place.
Inspection Findings

New Components Replaced:
- Ariston PRO RS 30 SHE storage heater
- Stainless steel pipe (within 1 metre)
- All pipe fittings
- Drainpipe and electrical bonding
Replacement work scope:
- Drain and remove old heater (DS 30 SHE)
- Install new Ariston PRO RS 30 SHE
- Replace corroded pipes and fittings with stainless steel
- Add a compliant drainpipe and electrical bonding
- System testing and pressure check
- PUB submission upon completion

Our PUB Licensed Plumber has endorsed that the work is done in accordance with the conditions stated below:
- All water service installations must be in accordance with the Public Utilities (Water Supply) Regulations, Singapore Standards 636 for Water Services, and all other relevant statutory requirements.
- The proposed works shall not adversely affect the existing water supply reticulation system.
- The proposed water storage heater is installed in accordance with the specifications and requirements of the manufacturer.
- The installation of double-check valves is safe and effective in preventing backflow and the back-siphonage of water from the storage water heater through the heater inlet pipe, and will be safe for use.

Conclusion:
The replacement work was conducted by a Homeone 2-man team (Team Lead and Technician), supervised by a Licensed PUB Plumber. Installation complies with PUB safety standards, including updated bonding, drain line, and pressure test certification.
