Before Replacement:
The existing Ariston AN2 15 LUX heater had reached the end of its lifespan and was no longer delivering hot water. It lacked a drain pipe and a double-check valve. The unit was not safe or compliant for continued use.
After Replacement:
A new Ariston AN2 15 RS heater was installed with stainless steel piping (within 1m), new fittings, proper bonding, a compliant drain pipe, and a double-check valve. The system now meets PUB regulations, ensuring safe, efficient hot water usage for the household.
Inspection Findings 
- The old heater had no hot water output
- The internal heater tank is likely degraded
- Missing double-check valve and drain pipe
- No visible electrical bonding
- Old piping and fittings were copper and worn

Replacement work scope:
- Isolate the water and power supply
- Remove the faulty Ariston Andris2 15 LUX unit
- Inspect the hot and cold water line pressure
- Install new Ariston AN2 15 RS water heater
- Fit stainless steel pipes and compression fittings
- Install a double-check valve and a drain pipe
- Reconnect and verify the bonding cable
- Check for leaks and the water pressure
- Complete PUB compliance checks and submit documentation

- All water service installations must be in accordance with the Public Utilities (Water Supply) Regulations, Singapore Standards 636 for Water Services, and all other relevant statutory requirements.
- The proposed works shall not adversely affect the existing water supply reticulation system.
- The proposed water storage heater is installed in accordance with the specifications and requirements of the manufacturer.
- The installation of double-check valves is safe and effective in preventing backflow and the back-siphonage of water from the storage water heater through the heater inlet pipe, and will be safe for use.
