A homeowner at 583 Pasir Ris Street 53 HDB resolved their Ariston water heater not working issue by replacing the ageing unit with a new Ariston AN2 15 RS, installed by Homeone with full PUB compliance.

Before Replacement:

The old Ariston Andris Lux 15 was no longer functional due to internal ageing. It lacked essential safety components such as a proper drain pipe and electrical bonding. The plumbing joints and fittings were also showing signs of corrosion.
After Replacement:

Homeone installed a brand-new Ariston AN2 15 RS with full compliance. The installation included new plumbing fittings, a proper drain pipe, and a secure electrical bond. The unit is now operating safely and efficiently, delivering reliable hot water.
Inspection Findings 
- No drain pipe present for safety discharge
- Missing electrical bonding for earthing
- Corroded fittings and ageing pipework
- Heater was non-functional and leaking

- Ariston AN2 15 RS water heater
- Drain pipe
- Double check valve
- Electrical bonding
- New stainless steel piping and ball valves
Replacement work scope:
- Decommissioning and removal of the faulty heater
- Inspection of the plumbing and electrical systems
- Installation of Ariston AN2 15 RS
- Fabrication of a new drain line
- Connection to the proper earth bonding point
- Full pressure and function testing
- Submission to PUB via Licensed Plumber

Our PUB Licensed Plumber has endorsed that the work is done in accordance with the conditions stated below:
- All water service installations must be in accordance with the Public Utilities (Water Supply) Regulations, Singapore Standards 636 for Water Services, and all other relevant statutory requirements.
- The proposed works shall not adversely affect the existing water supply reticulation system.
- The proposed water storage heater is installed in accordance with the specifications and requirements of the manufacturer.
- The installation of double-check valves is safe and effective in preventing backflow and the back-siphonage of water from the storage water heater through the heater inlet pipe, and will be safe for use.

Conclusion:
This replacement project was carried out by Homeone’s trained technician under the supervision of a Licensed PUB Plumber. All safety components were installed in accordance with PUB regulations, and final submission was duly completed to ensure full compliance.
